Lucky Clovers 4-H Club

During the Fall of 2009, the Fairview Lucky Clovers 4-H Club raised over $100 by selling Belk Charity Day tickets. This money will be used for club member scholarships. The club also donated some of the proceeds to Food for Fairview, a local food bank.

It has been awhile since you have heard from Newfound but we are still here! We Have had a very hard year losing one of the GREATEST Lady we have ever known. We will all greatly miss our wonderful leader, mentor and most of all friend Mrs. Barbara. In her absence we have to carry on the memory of her to the best of our ability.

Our members have been busy with their livestock projects. We have just finished the Mountain State Fair and are all well on our way to the NC State Fair. Our members have had an excellent show season. We have worked very hard and spent countless hours in the barn but has been well worth every minute. We will have a full report when we get home from Raleigh.

We have also scheduled 3 tours, tons of community service events and are gearing up for our club and county council officer elections.

Congratulations to the 2010 Shooting Sports Team for an EXCELLENT job at the State Competition at the Millstone 4-H Camp September 25th and 26th.

Please wish luck to the Buncombe County 4-H Livestock Judging Team as they travel to NC State Fair Grounds October 30th & 31st to compete in the NC STATE FAIR Livestock and Skill-A-Thon Competition.

We hope to see all of you at the Corn Maze and for the West District Ski Night (date to be announced) in January.
