Our first meeting for the 2018 4-H Livestock Judging, Skillathon, and Quiz Bowl teams has been scheduled for Monday, December 11th at 4:30 p.m. at the Buncombe County Extension Office located at 49 Mount Carmel Road near Erwin High School. ALL 4-H members are invited to attend who have interest in the program. This is a great way to get introduced to livestock projects and information.
Our main purpose of this meeting will be to see how many youth we have interested in the program this year, to look at the best times to schedule practices, and to see what our current strengths and weaknesses are so that we can see what topics we need to concentrate on during practices. This will also be an opportunity to meet Noah Henson, our new Livestock Extension Agent for Buncombe, Henderson, and Polk Counties. Noah has extensive experience with youth livestock programs and we are excited to have him join our Extension team.
Please RSVP by emailing Holly Jordan at firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday, December 8th. If you can’t attend the first meeting but still want to participate, please let us know that as well. We look forward to seeing you on December 11th!
