  • Camp is limited to 36 participants

What does it cost?
The cost for the camp is $500.00

What’s in it for me?
During the five-day NCSU Livestock Science Camp, you will be able to receive a sneak peek of what it’s like here at NC State by staying at Wood Hall, visiting University facilities, as well as interacting with faculty, staff, and current CALS students.

Attendees will learn about the vast field of agriculture and livestock production outside of the world of veterinary medicine.  You will have the chance to participate in a variety of hands on activities such as:

  • Visiting Beef and Dairy Cattle, Swine, Sheep, Goat and Horse Educational Units
  • Running laboratory experiments
  • Learning about and analyzing Meat Quality Assurance and Grading
  • Farm and Meat Processing Tours
  • Science, Technology, and Biotechnology of Livestock Industries
  • Visit the Legislative Building
  • Leadership Activities

And MOST importantly, you’ll make lots of new friends from all over the State of North Carolina.
