4-H Shooting Sports Volunteer Training in Swannanoa

After 5 years we are finally having a 4-H Volunteer Shooting Sports Training back here in the Western part of the state!  Nationally certified 4-H Shooting  Sports instructors from our state will direct the learning experiences.
Mark your calendars for this exciting opportunity. The training will be held Friday, March 31 – Saturday, April 1, 2017.  Friday night’s classroom training and dinner will be held at the former Swannanoa 4-H Camp. On Saturday we will venture down to the Carolina West Shooting Club in Nebo for all our range work.
We are offering two registration options.  $70 if you want to spend the night Friday at Swannanoa.  $50 if you would like to commute.  Space is limited at the camp.  They are giving priority to volunteers from the west so we really need to seize this opportunity.  Participants must be at least 21 years old and be registered as a 4-H volunteer in their county. Participants will be selected through an application process. No more than 15 participants will be selected in the disciplines of rifle, shotgun, archery, muzzleloading and hunting.
Registration must be completed by March 22, 2017 and can be located on the state 4-H shooting sports website: http://www.nc4-hshootingsports.org/
REMEMBER…..only NC 4-H trained shooting sports volunteers can lead shooting sports related activities with your 4-H club or youth.  If you would like to start a shooting sports program with your club, make sure to send a volunteer to this training.  Plus, it’s a great way to network with other volunteers in the area while having a great time learning.
