2017 4-H Horse Eligibility Cards

Attention 4-H Horse Project Members:
All youth interested in showing in 4-H Qualifying Shows or the NC State 4-H Horse Show MUST complete a 2017 Eligibility Card which must be on file in the county Extension office and ALSO be with the 4-H member at all 4-H Horse shows.  Below you will find a link for the 2017 Standard Operating Procedures and NC 4-H Horse Program Eligibility Card document. Please be sure to review the SOP carefully as there are a few changes from last year.
In lieu of submitting actual copies of the eligibility cards to the State 4-H Office, information from the cards mush be entered into a statewide database by the 4-H Agent in each county.  This new process must be done by March 1, 2017.  This new database will be used to cross-reference registration and attendance at the four shows (North, South, East, West) in order to verify that 4-H’ers are only attending one show (and the one that they declared).
Original eligibility cards should be printed on a pale-colored, cardstock paper to make them more durable. These can be picked up at the Buncombe Extension office or can be printed at home.
Please share this information with 4-H members in your family and clubs who are interested in showing their horse at any 4-H Horse Shows this year.
