4-H Youth Livestock Volunteer Training

Livestock Training Dec 2014

You are invited to participate in the 4-H Youth Livestock Volunteer Training which is a two day training on December 15th and 16th at the NCSU Beef Educational Unit.  This event will cover the basics of training a livestock judging or skillathon team, and cover selection techniques on the first day.  On the second day we will cover showing a livestock project.  Topics will include housing, daily care, nutrition, and emphasis on clipping/shearing for a show.  This will be a hands on program where we encourage you to clip and get more comfortable in assisting youth with their livestock projects.

The agenda and registration for the event is located at the link below.  If you have any questions about this event, please contact Holly Jordan at holly_jordan@ncsu.edu.  Also, feel free to pass this information along to anyone you think that may be interested in participating.
