The Buncombe County Extension Master Gardeners will again be co-sponsoring the Buncombe County 4-H Gardening Project. This is an opportunity to “dig in” and have fun with your own vegetable garden while learning through input provided by Extension Master Gardener Suzanne Wodek. She will visit your garden two times during the summer and provide you with information and suggestions for helping you grow a successful home vegetable garden. This opportunity is open to ANY of our 4-H families. We welcome all kinds of gardens: ground gardens, raised gardens, container gardens, and more.
If your family plans to participate and wants plants and seeds that the Master Gardeners provide, you must sign up by contacting Holly Jordan at firstname.lastname@example.org or (828) 255-5522 by Friday, May 16th. Otherwise, you can participate in the project, but you will need to provide your own plants. Whether you provide your own plants or the Master Gardeners provide them for you, please sign up so that we can ensure that we visit your garden and include you in on any information later on.
We will have a project orientation and pick up of plants and seeds at the Buncombe County Extension Office on Thursday, May 29th at 6:00 p.m. If you have any questions, please contact Holly Jordan.
