Phoenix State AwardWe want to congratulate the Phoenix Robotics team members who travelled to Greensboro this weekend to compete in the state FIRST Lego League Robotics Contest.  The team competed as part of 96 other teams from across the state.  Members of the team included:

  • Henry Jennings
  • David Snider
  • Maia Judd
  • Elizabeth Gempe
  • Mason Gempe
  • Matthew Furman
  • Eli Windsor
  • Team Coaches:  Mike and Rhonda Gempe
  • Team Mentor: John Schnautz

The team did an excellent job and brought back the “Core Values-Inspiration” award which is given to a team based on their ability to work together as a team and include all team members equally in the process.  We are VERY proud of the team and thankful for the volunteers and parents who spent many hours working with the youth on the programming, projects, research, team building activities and much more.  If you’d like to view some information about the team and their project, please CLICK HERE.
