The Sandy Much 4-H Club has been busy this spring. Check out the latest from the club….
On Thursday April 4th, Sandy Mush 4-H held their regular meeting, with Sgt. Andrew E. Helton, Wildlife Enforcement Officer speaking. We invited the Newfound 4H Club and the Leicester Patriots 4H Club to join us for the meeting. After a hot dog supper, Sgt. Helton spoke about the NC Wildlife Resource Commission and brought items for the kids to examine. He spoke on what his job entails, experiences he has had, what it takes to become a Wildlife Agent, hunter safety, and answered many questions from both kids and adults.
We also met on Thursday May 2nd, at the Leicester Fire Dept. Sandy Mush Station for our monthly meeting. We cleaned the flower beds around the building, then planted flowers (using flowers and potting soil donated by Lowes) and spread mulch.
