2012 4-H Congress Recap

Seth Austin and Tucker Worley of the Newfound 4-H Club spent the week of July 16th in Raleigh attending North Carolina 4-H Congress.  Congress is where the elections for state and district 4-H officers takes place as well as the state level competitions for presentations.  4-H members also participated in a variety of workshops that focus on leadership and service.  They also helped out with the state-wide Hungry to Help project where they measured out ingredients for a dry soup, bagged it, sealed it, and boxed it.  The soup was then provided to elderly in the community.

Congress is a great way to meet new 4-H friends from the West district and across the state.  We’d also like to congratulate Seth on being inducted into the NC 4-H Honor Club.  Congratulations Seth!!
