Buncombe 4-H Member and Volunteer Attend 4-H Electric Congress

North Carolina 4-H Electric Congress is an educational event designed to recognize excellence in the Electric Program throughout the state.   4-H members participate in educational workshops, meet Power Company Representatives, learn about careers in the energy industry, and interact with other electric winners.

This year Will Baldwin and Lisa Baldwin attended 4-H Electric Congress July 9-11th at UNC Wilmington.  During Electric Congress they both participated in electric and renewable energy workshops, attended a career fair, helped out with a service project and received training on the Piranha LED Flasher Kit which they will to teach to interested county 4-H members in the coming months.

NC 4-H Electric Congress is an all-expense paid program for 4-H members who complete 4-H Electric Project Records, Cumulative Records, and those members who participate in the Electric category with a 4-H presentation in the spring.  If you would like more information about this opportunity, please contact Holly Jordan at holly_jordan@ncsu.edu.
