The Newfound, Leicester Patriots, and Sandy Mush 4-H Club members and families should all give themselves a big pat on the back. These three clubs worked together to plan a benefit event for Cody Cooper’s family. Cody is a member of the Leicester Patriots 4-H Club and was diagnosed with a lung condition that has caused him to have several surgeries and multiple trips to Chapel Hill, NC for doctor and specialist visits.
The 4-H clubs hosted a meal, raffle, auction, and even brought in bands to play at the Zion Hill Baptist Church on Saturday, May 5th. In total, the event raised over $18,000 for the family to help pay for medical expenses, travel, and other hardships related to Cody’s condition that the family has dealt with recently.
Great job to the families of these clubs! We know a lot of hard work went into planning the event which was greatly appreciated by the Cooper family!
