Deadline to tag Steers is May 19th

*Livestock Judging 101 Clinic*
When: May 19th
Where: NCSU Beef Educational Unit
Who:  For youth ages 9-18 that are interested in participating on a livestock judging team.  This event is broken up for experienced kids and beginners.

*NC Junior Beef Roundup*
When: June 1-3
Where:  NC State Fair Grounds
Who:  This event is open to all youth ages 5-21, and allows them a wide array of opportunities to learn about the Beef Industry and several competitions kids can compete in.  We have a poster contest, photography contest, skillathon contest, Heifer Show, Steer Show, Ultimate Heifer Make-Over, and Showmanship.  Youth do not have to show cattle to participate in the other events.  Please check out the link below for additional information including the theme for the poster contest and the guidelines for poster and photography.

*Skillathon 101 Clinic*
When: June 15th
Where:  NCSU Beef Educational Unit
Who:  For youth interested in participating in Skillathon events.  Kids will have the opportunity to learn about feeds, meats, breeds, tools, and basic animal science knowledge.  For youth ages 9-18, and kids will be broken up by their experience levels.

*State 4-H Livestock Events*
When: June 25-27
Where:  NCSU Beef Educational Unit
Who:  Youth ages 9-18 can participate in each of the events. Entries are due June 15th.  Entry forms will be posted online at our website.
June 25, Practice Livestock Classes at the Beef Unit
June 26, State 4-H Livestock Judging Contest
June 27, State 4-H Skillathon and Quiz Bowl Contests

*Show-Rite Feeds Meat Goat Clinic*
When: July 21
Where:  NCSU Beef Educational Unit
Who:  This event is open to both youth and parents that want to learn more about showing goats.  The presenters for this event will be Kevin Mock and Bronc Fleming.  More information regarding this event coming shortly.
