Recap of the 2012 West District 4-H Teen Retreat

Over the weekend of March 30th, 15 4-H members and 4 adult chaperones from Buncombe County traveled to the Swannanoa 4-H Camping Center for the 2012 West District Teen Retreat.

Teen Retreat is an event where 4-H members from the West District come together to participate in educational sessions, support the “Hungry to Help” statewide 4-H initiative, compete for the district spirit stick, and have fun.  Our Buncombe County 4-H members participated in a variety of educational sessions which focused on team building, 4-H Application, Interview, Resume, and Essay (AIRE), Archery, Geo-caching, camp beautification, cooking, and more!

We also want to congratulate Seth Austin, of the Newfound 4-H Club and 2012 West District 4-H Reporter, for playing a role in the planning of the retreat.

Below are a few pictures of the weekend.  Make sure to join in on the fun next year!!
