NC 4-H Congress

Seth Austin and Tucker Worley of the Newfound 4-H Club spent last week in Raleigh attending North Carolina 4-H Congress.  Congress is where the elections for state 4-H officers takes place as well as the state level competitions for presentations.  4-H members who attend participate in a variety of workshops that focus on leadership and service.  They also helped out with the state-wide Hungry to Help project where over 40,000 pounds of pasta were bagged for distribution at a local food bank.  Congress is a great way to meet new 4-H friends from the West district and across the state.  We’d also like to congratulate Seth on being recognized as our 2011-2012 West District Council Reporter.  Congratulations Seth!!
