Tomato Canning Class for 4-H Members

Are your tomato plants producing so many tomatoes that you can’t seem to consume them all before they go bad?  If so, come learn about the basics of canning tomatoes with other youth in Buncombe County.  Our very own Buncombe County Family and Consumer Science Extension Agent, Ms Cathy Hohenstein, will be leading the class and talking about canning basics and safety while having lots of fun in the kitchen.

When: Friday, August 5, 2011
Time: 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Cost: $5 per participant
Pre-register by Wednesday, July 27, 2011

All participants must have a 4-H Medical Release Form on file in order to participate and must bring a bagged lunch and drink to the workshop.  Space is limited to the first 15 youth who register.
