Buncombe County 4-H is offering an exciting workshop for beginning sewers!! In our “Sew Cool Sewing Camp” youth will learn the basics of sewing. We will begin with learning about sewing equipment and tools, learning how to thread a sewing machine, learning to lay out a pattern, and we will all make our very own aprons which can be embellished for the 4-Hers own style. We’ve also planned some extra exciting projects which we will make in addition to the apron. PLUS…you will get your very own sewing kit to take home with you!!
This workshop is open to youth ages 9 – 18. You do not have to be a 4-H club member to participate. Participants are encouraged to bring their own working sewing machine which they can learn to sew with. We also have a few machines which can be borrowed as well.
