North Carolina 4-H Forestry Judging Contest

Information is available for this year’s North Carolina 4-H Forestry Judging Contest.  Please share the information below with any of your 4-H friends who might be interested in participating.
2011 NC 4-H Forestry Contest

The state contest will consist of:
–   Tree Identification – 25 species (30 minutes)
–   Tree Measurement – 15 trees (45 minutes)
–   Forest Insect Identification – 10 species
–   Forest Disease Identification – 10 samples
–   Forest Evaluation (60 minutes – team event)
All events, except the Forest Evaluation, are individual events.  Teams consist of 3-4 members, in either the Senior or Junior Division (determined by age).  Individuals may also register for the event.

Center in Weston, West Virginia, in late July 2012.
