Have you outgrown your bedroom? Is it time to park the Match Box cars and put the dolls to rest? Are you tired of the bedroom decorations that you parents insisted they buy for you? After all the years or parents saying, “Hands off,” it’s now time for you to get your hands on updating into some 2011 decor.
The “Great Room Re-Do” workshop, taught by Nancy Ostergaard, is an opportunity for you to learn the basics of space planning, color schemes, interactive room painting, faux painting, making a lamp project and fabric treatment for your bedroom and a few more exciting surprises.
The workshop will be held Monday, August 8th, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and Tuesday, August 9th, 9 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the Buncombe County Extension office. The cost to cover materials is $25 (due at time of registration) and all participants should bring a bagged lunch both days. This workshop is open to any youth ages 12 through 19. Pre-registration is necessary by July 15th and space is limited.
For more information and to register for this exciting workshop, please contact the Buncombe County Cooperative Extension office at (828) 255-5522 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
