The Buncombe County Extension Master Gardeners will again be co-sponsoring the Buncombe County 4-H Gardening Project. This is an opportunity to “dig in” and have fun with your own vegetable garden while learning through input provided by Extension Master Gardener Suzanne Wodek. She will visit your garden two times during the summer and provide you with information and suggestions for helping you grow a successful home vegetable garden. This opportunity is open to ANY of our 4-H families. We welcome all kinds of gardens: ground gardens, raised gardens, container gardens, and more.
If your family plans to participate and wants plants and seeds that the Master Gardeners provide, you must sign up by contacting Holly Jordan at email@example.com or (828) 255-5522 by Wednesday, May 11th. Otherwise, you can participate in the project, but you will need to provide your own plants. Whether you provide your own plants or the Master Gardeners provide them for you, please sign up so that we can ensure that we visit your garden and include you in on any information later on.
Plants and seeds for those who pre-register for the gardening project will be distributed at the Buncombe County Extension Office on Thursday, May 19th between 4-5 p.m. If you have any questions, please contact Holly Jordan.
