The AKC is partnering with Virginia 4-H to offer a special “4-H Day” at the AKC National Agility Championship at the Virginia Horse Center in Lexington on April 2, 2011. This is the first time the National Championship has been held in Virginia. All of the top agility dogs and handlers from the United States will be there. If you enjoy watching dog agility on TV, come see the top competitors in person!
Beginning at 10 a.m. on April 2, 2011 AKC representatives will offer special tours of the event to 4-H’ers. Handouts will be available to 4-H’ers who register by March 25. Walk-ins are allowed, but there is no guarantee that enough handouts will be available for walk-ins. This event is free to the public and parking is also free. It doesn’t get much better than that! There will also be food available for sale and many booths will be set up with vendors selling dog related items if you like to shop.
This event is actually going on from April 1-3, but 4-H Day is only offered on Saturday. Here is a link for more information about the championships: http://www.akc.org/events/agility/national_agility_championship/
