On the 18th of December, the Horse Spirits 4-H group spent two hours serving at the Ingles Giving Tree. The Ingles Giving Tree is a food tree that is set up every Christmas. It is located in the Asheville Mall where people can drop off bags of food or make a donation to MANNA FoodBank. Several of the girls in our group showed up to help. We were amazed to learn that one dollar could feed up to three people. We stood around the Ingles Giving Tree handing out flyers and asking people to make a donation to MANNA FoodBank. There were many generous people that donated. In the two hours that our group was there, we took in around a thousand dollars! If I had a chance to serve again I would do so gladly.
