4-H Volunteer Day at MANNA FoodBank

We have planned a volunteer day at MANNA FoodBank to kick of the “Hungry to Help” 4-H initiative and to celebrate National 4-H Week on Saturday, October 9, 2010. We hope everyone can get involved even though this is short notice.

We are looking for 4-H members, friends, volunteers, and parents to meet at MANNA FoodBank to help with a variety of activities including sorting food, cleaning food shelves, and possibly packaging the MANNA Packs for distribution to school age youth.  Please RSVP to Holly at holly_jordan@ncsu.edu if you plan to attend.

WHEN: Saturday, October 9, 2010

WHERE: MANNA FoodBank located at 623 Swannanoa River Road, Asheville, NC 28805

TIME: Meet at 8:45 a.m. and finish at noon

BRING: Everyone MUST wear close-toed shoes.  Also dress appropriately for working in a warehouse setting.  Please call Holly at (828) 255-5522 if you have any specific questions
