Mrs. Barbara Worley of Newfound 4-H Club has worked as a volunteer leader with 4-H for over 30 years, and was named 2009’s Outstanding Club Leader. She has worked on hot dog sales, meetings, helped with presentations, shivered in drafty show barns, and sweated it out at Congress. Even through her health problems in recent years, she has kept working with her 4-H’ers with a smile and hug for each one. Her club leaders and members once said of her, “It is so hard to relay how much of an impact she makes on the kids and parents lives. She is an extraordinary person and has the heart of an angel. The only thing we hope is that she will always know how much she has touched everyone of our lives and helped to make all of us better people for a future that is so uncertain for her. The legacy she will one day leave behind is a life time of dedicated service and love for the 4-H program. “
We are asking that all clubs join us for a benefit being held for Mrs. Barbara Worley on May 22nd at Zion Hill Baptist Church from 4:00-8:00. There will be hamburgers, hot dogs and all the fixings. There will also be a cake auction, raffles and other auctions.
