Sign Up Now for the 4-H Mini-Gardening Project!

The Buncombe County Extension Master Gardeners will again be co-sponsoring the Buncombe County 4-H Gardening Project.  If your family plans to participate and wants plants and seeds that the Master Gardeners provide, you need to let Erin Bonito (erin_bonito@ncsu.edu) know by Friday, April 30th.  Otherwise, you can participate in the project, but you will need to provide your own plants.  Whether you provide your own plants or the Master Gardeners provide them, as long as you let us know you plan to participate in the project, an Extension Master Gardener will make two visits to your garden during the summer to check on your progress and give you helpful suggestions.

Plants and seeds for those who pre-register for the gardening project will be distributed at the Buncombe County 4-H County Council meeting on May 13th at 6:30.  We hope that if you have pre-registered for this project that you will come to the County Council meeting on May 13th to pick up your plants and seeds.  If you sign up for plants and seeds and can’t come to the meeting, your plants and seeds will be available at our office the following week (May 17th – May 21st).  If you have any questions, please let Erin know.
