There are two Electric Project kit workshops available to leaders in May. One will be Friday May 14th at the Haywood County Extension Center from 9-11:30 am. Linda Semon from Yancey County, will be teaching the workshop and if you plan to attend contact her (828-682-6186). Another will be Tuesday May 18th at the Cumberland County Extension Center from 5 – 7 pm. If you plan to attend contact the Cumberland County Office (910-321-6860).
This training is for Adult 4-H Leaders and 4-H Agents that plan to teach this activity in the county. If you have a 4-her(s) that may teach this activity, they are welcome to attend also. You will receive the hands-on training required to become eligible to receive the 20 free kits per county, plus general information about the Electric Program. The funding for this annual kit is provided by Progress Energy, Duke Energy, and Dominion NC Power.
Also, Electric Congress registration is coming up soon (April 15th). As always, if you have any questions about Electric Congress, please contact Grant Ellington at 919-515-6793.
