4-H AIRE (Application, Interview, Resume and Essay)

What is AIRE?:   AIRE, also known as Application, Interview, Resume & Essay is a 4-step process by which youth are chosen to attend National events such as National Congress, National Conference, and International Leadership Conference. All applications must be postmarked by May 17, 2010. If they are being hand delivered, they must be in the office by 4:30 on the same day.

Who can participate?:  Any youth ages 14-18. Age is determined by age as of January 1 of the current year. Youth ages 11-13 aspiring to participate in the AIRE program are encouraged to register and participate this year in a non-competitive “Interview” process. It will be a fun learning experience. See: Mock Interview Application (due May 17, 2010).  Mock interviews will be held during the competitive AIRE interview’s on Monday of 4-H Congress (July 19, 2010). Note: A separate room and panel of judges will be used to support the younger youth.
