4-H Citizenship North Carolina Focus

The 6th Annual 4-H Citizenship North Carolina Focus will be held on June 14-16, 2010 in Raleigh at the Sheraton Downtown. We are pleased to have North Carolina’s Electric Cooperatives- Touchstone Energy as our Signature sponsor once again. If you plan to attend, please fill out the Youth Delegate Application and/or the Adult Delegate Application and return if by the deadline.   You can also access the tentative agenda by clicking here. We are still working on the details of the agenda, but this will give you an idea.  Below is the ‘who, what, when, where and why’ of the event.

Who can attend? 100 – 170 North Carolina 4-H’ers, ages 14-19 and appropriate adults. All are selected by the application process. We are recruiting at least 2 per county – new or returning youth and adults.

What does it cost? Registration fees are $150.00 per person (youth and adult), including 2 nights lodging and meals during the conference. This is less than a third of the actual cost per person.  The actual cost per person is over $500.00 per person. (The remaining cost is covered by donors and other funding sources.) Transportation and chaperone’s are the responsibility of participants and/or participating counties.

How do I apply? Complete the attached application. Applications must be RECEIVED in the State 4-H Office by May 3, 2010.
