The Alliance for a Healthier Generation’s EmpowerME Movement inspires kids to make healthy behavior changes and become leaders and advocates for healthy eating and physical activity. The Alliance is searching for a select group of young people from across the country to serve on their Youth Advisory Board (for 2010-2011) and roll up their sleeves for a few hours a month of critical thinking, engaging conversations, good fun, new friendships, and high-profile leadership. Board members serve as ambassadors for the Alliance for a Healthier Generation, share feedback on Alliance’s Kids’ Movement materials, lead a community service project related to health and most importantly, inspire their peers to eat healthier and move more. Applicants must be between the ages of 8 and 17 years old when membership begins July 2010 and live in the United States. Interested youth can click here for more information.
