Buncombe 4-H to Corn Maze!

banner_cornIn September, Eliada Homes for Children opened its first-ever corn maze. Deemed “The Castle in the Corn”, the maze is located just 5 minutes from downtown Asheville and features 3 levels of difficulty, family attractions, a hay bale maze for toddlers, and more.

On Friday, October 23, 2009, we have planned a trip to the corn maze at Eliada Homes. There are a lot of corn mazes we could go to, but Eliada Homes has been gracious enough to let us use their facilities for the last several years to hold the county craft fair, fashion review, and talent show.

The cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children (5-12).  If we have a group of 20 or more people we can get a group discount – $4 each for adults and children!

Please make arrangements to meet us there! We will be meeting at 5:45pm at entrance to the maze. We will be representing 4-H so please wear green, or a 4-H shirt! We want everyone to know who we are!

To get the group rate we will need a head count of how many from your club will be attending.  Please let Rachel Winebarger know your head count by Wednesday, October 21. You can do this by emailing her at scabby4him@bellsouth.net or calling her at 828-665-1560 or 828-545-3117.  Directions are included below.

This should be a fun event to represent 4-H at – we hope to see you all there!
